W.G.A Golf Society Day 

On Tuesday 26th, nineteen of W.G.A's finest met at Leckford Golf Club for our very first society meet. It was a beautiful day and the golf wasn't too bad either! After 18 holes everyone enjoyed a delightful supper at our lovely Bistro.

Last week we told you about our amazing prize draw giveaway of an M1 Driver signed by none other than World number 1 Jason Day. Well it is now in store for you to come and look at for yourselves. You can look but you cannot touch, breathe on, or smell it. Congratulations Ayden!! 

This week two of our top scholars went and competed at the European Junior Golf Champsionship. It was a two day event of 9 holes on two different courses. The first 9 was held at Queens Park G.C and the second 9 on the Isle of Purbeck G.C Head Boy Josh Mulcahy and Ayden Knight both played in their respective age categories. 

Josh, unfortunately didn't take his A game to Dorset so sadly didn't qualify for the next rounds. He did however exhibit exactly why he was chosen as our head boy as he maintained a professional, polite and sporting attitude throughout his game and on the course, even though things did not go his way. 

Ayden Knight managed to produce two fantastic rounds of golf under immense pressure shooting 4 over gross at Queens Park and a respectable 6 over gross on the Isle of Purbeck resulting in him winning his age category of the 9 - 10's which means that he is off to Spain for the finals! Well done Josh and Ayden you have made the team here at Winchester Golf Academy very proud.
