Well Done Zoe
We've added another budding superstar to our Scholarship family in the form of 10-year-old Zoe Oliver! Zoe started her golf with us here at the Academy last September and has progressed fantastically.
She made lots of new friends through our Girls Golf Rocks scheme and has blossomed into a lovely striker of the ball. Zoe is playing her first competition as a scholar this Saturday at Avington Park alongside her fellow scholars and juniors. Wear your scholar cap and shirt with pride Zoe you've earned it!

So what do you think?
There are quite a few rookies on the squad and no G-Mac or Poulter. Is there enough experience?
I think it's going to be a real tough one this year and a lot of it will depend on if the rookies can embrace the nerves and pressure and rise to the occasion.
Get Fit For Golf
Do you get fatigued and lose concentration towards the end of a round?
Do you feel out of breath when walking around the course?
Do you not hit the ball as far as you think you should?
Do you ache the next day after playing golf?
Do people shout 'The bells, the bells!' when you address the ball because your posture is so bad?
Do you feel losing a bit of weight will give you more energy to play?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions it is probably about time you get in touch with Harry, our very own qualified personal trainer that specializes in improving your golf so you can look better, feel better and play better!
Psssst, Want To Know The Secret To Better Scores
We've already helped so many of our customers achieve lower scores through this one crazy tip! 'So what is it?' I hear you ask. Well I can't just tell you right away I have a newsletter to fill……….Okay I will tell you……… it is…….. Get your blimmin putter fitted!
That's right you heard me! Give the short stick the attention it deserves! If you are willing to spend time, energy and big money on getting a driver fitted for you that you only use on average for 14 shots per round why oh why don't you spend the same amount of time on getting the exact right putter for you! You spend half the time you are out on the course using it so it's very important to get the right one and a very simple way to quickly lower your scores!!
We provide 30 minute putter fittings here at the academy for just £20 and if you buy the putter we give you £15 back to use on the purchase of your new putter! Even if you don't buy a new one you will leave the session with a better understanding of how your putting stroke works with your current putter and some useful exercises.

Darcy's Diary…
We always get lots of lovely comments from people when Darcy is featured in the newsletter so here is her latest news in the form of her diary, enjoy!
This past week has been very eventful for me. I had a viral infection for two days and did not feel myself at all. Luckily I was able to tell mummy and daddy this through high-pitched wails, being very hot, grumpy and projectile vomiting on them.
Being the tough cookie I am, though, I felt better after a little bit of medicine and lots of cuddles. This week also saw me finally get some teeth! I am very excited about this, as I have been waiting for these things to arrive for a while! Here are some things I like to do with my brand new teeth…..
- Smile proudly for photos
- Bite mummy and daddy's fingers (they are less keen on this)
- Pretend I'm a crocodile or shark in the bath
- Bite and crunch my food and throw it with joy!
- Make Great Nanny jealous, as she can't grow any more teeth.
I have asked for a new toothbrush but have been told I'm not quite ready yet, which is ridiculous! You can clearly see them now and I want to keep them shiny and white.
See you soon
Love Darcy xxx
