Junior Medal Results
It was another great turn out for the monthly junior medal at Avington Park Golf Club.
This month we decided to mix things up a bit by using a Texas Scramble format. For any of you that don't know, Texas Scramble is played by all members of the team hitting their shots and then choosing the best shot out of all of the shots hit, then everyone plays their next shot from there and then you pick the best shot again and so on until you finish the hole.
The winning team scored a fantastic 30 gross over 9 holes and was made up of Marcus Kail, Jack Grist and Cody Roberts. It was very close though, as the team in second place, made up of Ayden Knight, Billy Goulding and Mitchell Adams scored a great score of 31 gross.
Speaking Of Juniors…
Our Scholarship Junior Roll Ups start this weekend, Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th May at the following times:
- Saturday 2pm-3pm with Harry Bevan
- Sunday 9am-10am with Dan Seymour
The roll up costs £6 for the hour and includes golf balls.
Plan Ahead!
If you are anything like us, you are still waiting for the Spring weather to kick in and warm your weary bones! We can't wait to be out playing golf in t-shirts and we know once we get the feeling of sun on our back we don't want it to ever end. Which is why (you knew I was going somewhere with this) we have organised a golfing break in typically gloomy October to keep the sunshine golf feeling going.
Check out the details below or click here:
This break is for the gents only because we hate women. Just kidding we don't of course and we are actually looking into setting up ladies one for September with our very own Emma Booth. To book in for the advertised trip or if you are a lady and would like to register your interest in Emma's trip pop in to see us, click here or call us on 01962 885254.
Winner Of Last Week's Competition

Congratulations Pete, May the force be strong with your newly acquired golf balls and accessories.
Go Gary Go!
As some of you may already know Gary is very into his cycling. He's doing very well and has progressed immensely over the last 6 months.
To ensure his continued improvement Gary is taking on his biggest challenge yet of cycling 200 miles in 2 days around London. Now Gary would happily do this without any sponsorship, but we all agree it is a great opportunity for him to raise money for a cause very close to his heart.
Gary is raising money for St Michael's Hospice, a wonderful charity that offers choice and understanding of complex conditions in the dying. For the last 23 years St Michael's has cared for over 500 patients a year across the community.
St. Michael's leads the provision of the highest quality palliative care throughout North Hampshire. St Michael's has offered fantastic to support to Gary's Grandad and family throughout his illness and continue to do so.
If you would like to sponsor Gary for his bike ride please click here to enter his sponsorship page and remember, giving makes us feel good!
