Breakfast Birdie

We’ve realised some of our customers haven’t yet discovered our Breakfast Birdie!

It’s the best way to start a winter’s day; a basket of 40 balls, a bacon or sausage bap and a coffee or tea from 9am until 12 noon every weekday for just £7.

Junior News

Save the date, every weekend starting 6th & 7th January 2018!

A new slot for junior roll-up lessons is being launched in January 2018! We know what busy lives our juniors have with so many activities and sports to cram into a weekend, which is why we’ve added a new junior roll-up lesson on Sundays, starting 7th January 2018.

No booking is needed, just turn up £8 per session. So, choose if Saturdays or Sundays are the best fit for 2018, or if your juniors are really keen they can always do both!

Christmas Supper Club

Make time for a Christmas catch up with friends or a festive family lunch or dinner at the Little Kitchen Bistro in December.

The Bistro Christmas lunches start on 4th December.

A magical evening is planned for The Christmas Supper Club on Friday 8th December at 7.30pm, and the four course Bistro Christmas evenings will take place on Thursday 14th, Friday 15th and Wednesday 20th of December.

Time has moved on

About time!

Earlier this year, the R&A and USGA released a proposed new rulebook that will come into force in 2019. They hope the changes will make the rules fairer and this week we’re going to look at one of the modifications that will affect loose impediments.

Stones in Bunkers

No more stones in bunkers
Many amateurs struggle from the sand, so when your ball comes to rest on or against a stone or twig it feels like the golfing gods are against you. With exceptions, the current rule (13-4) states that you ‘must not touch or move loose impediments’ in bunkers, leaving you susceptible to deflected shots and scratches or dents to your club.

However, under the proposed new rule (12.2a) you will be allowed to move loose impediments before you hit out of bunkers as long as you don’t test the condition of the sand. Surely you can’t argue with this change?
