Final Champagne Wednesday…
Our Winter Wednesday Night's 'Closest to the Pin' came to an end last week in spectacular fashion. Not only was the £250 cash prize draw made but the Closest to the Pin competition over the last 24 weeks was also decided on the final night!
|
After 18 weeks at the top, Andy Ward's mark of 7" in week 6 went within 10 minutes of the first hour. Mark Lawner hit his shot to 6" to become the overall Closest to the Pin Champion 2019! This shot won the first hour, the Night's Bottle of Champagne and the Competition's Overall Prize of a box of new TaylorMade TP5 & TP5X Balls plus £25 credit onto his Privilege Card. So, after the excitement of the first hour, the second hour went quietly to Neil Flowers with 2ft 9" with Mark not too far behind again.
Finally, the BIG draw and congratulations to Sam Whieldon who has supported our Champagne Wednesday Night on numerous occasions and has also hit a winning shot on the night. Sam’s name was drawn out of the hat to win £250 cash!

A massive thank you to all the players who have supported our Wednesday nights and had some Toptracer fun on the cold winter's nights.

Some say that golf is a ‘good walk spoiled’. What nonsense! However, without comfortable footwear, it can spoil some of the fun, especially as our feet start to get tired on the back nine. Fortunately, we have a solution that will have you feeling as if you're strutting your stuff on cloud nine with supreme style and comfort in abundance. |
| Skechers Mojo Elite golf shoe |
|
Skechers have clearly put comfort to the forefront of their mind with their Mojo Elite shoe for 2019. Its trainer-like look means you can pull them off both on and off the course, whilst its responsive Ultra Flight cushioning gives you supreme all-day comfort. |
In addition, the Gripflex design on the outsole (pictured above) is unlike any spikeless design we've seen before. A combination of multi-directional cleats and lugs offer fantastic traction, all in a green-friendly manner that we know is important to a lot of golfers. |
