History was always going to be made at the JordanMixed Open last weekend, but what a brilliantfew days it turned out to be. This was the first-everfull-field mixed professional tournament on tour withplayers from the Challenge Tour, Staysure Tour andLadies European Tour competing over 54 holes.
Heading into the final day, Englishwoman MeghanMacLaren held a two-shot lead thanks to consecutiverounds of seven-under-par and started Sunday in thesame rich vein of form, birding two of her first threeholes. In the end, MacLaren had to settle for secondplace as Challenge Tour player Daan Huizing conjuredup three late birdies to seal a two-stroke victory.
In what was a world-first, of the 66 players to makethe cut, 20 came from the Ladies European Tour, 21from the Staysure Seniors Tour and 25 from theChallenge Tour. Anythingis possible for this golfer
