Did you know that the only PGA Tour player who doesn’t wear a glove is Lucas Glover? We love that because it’s brilliantly ironic, but it is actually related to what we’re talking about today... gloves: to wear one, wear two or shed them completely?
Most golfers wear one glove tee-to-green and take it off to putt. The idea of gloveless putting is to give you more feel, although that raises the question of whether you could benefit from the same added feel in other areas... around the greens, maybe?
With one glove being the standard, how about doubling up? As Aaron Rai explains in the video above, this can be particularly effective in the rain as you try to maintain grip on the club and control over full shots in wet weather. Oh, and if you’ve ever thinned a shot on a cold day, you’d be grateful to have a pair of winter golf gloves that take the sting out of it.
